Ali Arshad Associates is an Architecture, Interior Designing Firm, designing and implementation of architecture, interior design, infrastructure, landscaping, consultancy services as well as construction on Turnkey basis. The principals of the firm Ali Naqvi Regional Director overlooking Aedas Ali Naqvi, with over 20 years architectural experience, 15 of which running his own practice Ali joined hands with Aedas Architects in 2008 to form their Karachi office. After graduating from UT, Austin in 1985, Ali Naqvi joined Habib Fida Ali, a local architectural firm to develop the master plan and the main academic block of the Lahore University of Management Sciences. On successful completion of the project, Ali Naqvi joined Sogea; a French Company responsible for the construction of the New International Airport of Karachi. Sogea hired Ali Naqvi as a Senior Architect where his responsibilities included preparation of shop drawings, coordination between different traders, supervising and working out the details of installation. In 1989, Ali Naqvi established his own firm under the name of Ali Arshad Associates and successfully developed long lasting relationships with clients and consultants. He carried out various commercial, retail and residential jobs which included prestigious bank interiors, car showrooms, amusement parks, several food chains and over 400 residential villas. The Aedas practice is well placed to service new and existing clients with a team who understand and appreciate the culture and sensitivities of the local market place. The office now presents a very strong residential portfolio as well as extensive experience within Civic and particularly Commercial sectors. His role also includes assisting with client and inter-office co-ordination for the region’s upcoming projects. Ali is an active member of the Pakistan Institute of Architects and the Pakistan Council of Architects and Town Planners. He is presently involved in an advisory position in the development of the new Karachi masterplan and is also part responsible for the Pakistan’s annual Architects and Builders Sourcebook Publication.
